Anubis Implements WebAssembly After Year-Long Development

Anubis, a platform designed to protect websites from aggressive scraping by AI companies, has integrated WebAssembly after a year of development. The service uses a Proof-of-Work system inspired by Hashcash to impose computational costs on potential scrapers. This approach is intended to be negligible for individual users but significantly more demanding for large-scale automated scraping operations. The current solution serves as a temporary measure while Anubis continues to develop more advanced techniques, such as fingerprinting headless browsers through font rendering analysis, to better distinguish legitimate users from bots. Users are advised to disable certain JavaScript-blocking plugins like JShelter when accessing Anubis, as the platform relies on modern JavaScript features for its protection mechanisms.
