Circular Introduces Ring 3 Series with Contactless Payments and Vibration Alerts

2 min read

Circular has announced its latest smart ring lineup, the Ring 3 series, which includes two models: the Pro and the Slim. Both rings incorporate an NFC chip enabling contactless payments and provide vibration alerts for alarms, reminders, and health notifications. The Ring 3 Pro is designed to be slimmer than the previous generation and includes advanced health features such as FDA-cleared ECG for atrial fibrillation detection, blood pressure trend monitoring, glucose tracking, detailed sleep analysis, and comprehensive biometric data collection. It offers a battery life of up to 12 days, an improvement over the seven days available in the earlier model. The Slim version is lighter and thinner than the Pro, focusing on essential health and wellness tracking. It monitors sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, skin temperature, and daily activity, with a battery life lasting up to 10 days. Both models deliver on-finger vibration alerts that can be used for silent alarms, medication reminders, vital health warnings, and guided breathing exercises. Constructed from titanium steel, the rings are water-resistant up to 50 meters and support wireless charging. They will be offered in sizes 6 through 14 and come in gold, rose gold, silver, and black finishes. Circular's CEO, Amaury Kosman, emphasized the company's intention to cater to users seeking a balance between style, essential health tracking, and convenient payment options. The Ring 3 series enters a competitive market following recent releases from other smart ring manufacturers. Pricing and pre-order details are expected to be shared in the coming months, with availability projected for early 2027.
