At the Telluride Film Festival, attendees experienced a surprise screening of a new documentary focused on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos. The film, titled "You Can See Everything," was co-directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim and runs nearly three hours. Festivalgoers were unaware of the film's subject until the screening began, with phones locked away to maintain secrecy. The documentary captures Holmes and her husband, Billy Evans, during the 34 days leading up to her May 2023 surrender to federal prison, where she is serving an 11-year sentence for defrauding investors about her blood-testing technology. Since her conviction, Holmes has pursued legal appeals and a clemency petition, which remains under review. Notably, Fielder reportedly lived in the couple’s guest house during filming, granting the filmmakers unprecedented access. The film also features an appearance by a prominent actress who becomes part of the narrative. The documentary is scheduled for release by A24 in October.
