Meta has revealed Muse Charm, a new wearable device designed to provide users with seamless access to its personal AI agent, Muse. The announcement came during Meta's annual Connect event, where CEO Mark Zuckerberg showcased the device as a compact, pocket-sized totem that users can carry or attach to a keychain. Muse Charm features a small screen displaying a digital avatar named Jolly, representing the AI agent.

The device allows users to interact with Muse through voice commands by tapping a fingerprint sensor, enabling real-time conversations without needing to unlock a phone or open an app. Zuckerberg highlighted that this approach offers a faster way to communicate with Muse, especially for users who do not wear glasses, which currently serve as another interface for the AI agent.

While the Muse Charm is not yet available, Zuckerberg indicated that Meta is finalizing the hardware components and expects to ship the device in time for the holiday season in December. The wearable’s design evokes a Tamagotchi-like experience, combining a personality-driven digital companion with practical AI functionality.

Meta’s introduction of Muse Charm represents a strategic step to expand the accessibility of its AI services through a dedicated physical device. It also reflects the company’s interest in experimenting with AI wearables as a new form factor for personal AI interaction, potentially broadening how users engage with AI beyond smartphones and smart glasses.
