Apple is preparing to unveil a new smart home hub called the HomeView, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman. The device will feature a built-in display and be powered by Apple’s A18 chip, enabling users to control various smart home devices through Siri. The HomeView is expected to come in two versions: one designed for countertop placement and another for wall mounting. This launch marks Apple’s most significant effort to date in the smart home space, following limited success with its HomeKit software and HomePod smart speaker. Alongside the HomeView, Apple is also expected to update its Apple TV set-top box and HomePod mini. Additionally, the company plans to announce a collaboration with LG to develop smart home products including a smart lock, thermostat, and doorbell. These moves indicate Apple's renewed focus on expanding its smart home ecosystem with integrated hardware and software solutions.
