Apple held its first fall event under CEO John Ternus, revealing several new products including its inaugural foldable phone, the iPhone Duo. The foldable device features a 7.6-inch inner Retina display and a 5.4-inch outer screen, with an under-display camera to maximize screen space. It offers up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and 44 hours on the outer display. The iPhone Duo includes dual 48-megapixel cameras and a hinge constructed from Grade 5 aluminum designed for durability and smooth operation. It starts at $1,999 with 256GB storage, available for pre-order on October 16 and shipping on October 23.
Apple also updated its iPhone Pro lineup with the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. These models maintain the previous design but introduce a 48-megapixel camera sensor with a variable aperture for improved low-light performance and faster shooting. New software features offer advanced photographic controls and 4K Dolby HDR video recording with post-shoot cinematic effects. Prices begin at $1,199 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $1,299 for the Pro Max, with pre-orders starting September 16 and availability on September 18.
The Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 received software enhancements focused on audio intelligence. New features include Sound Recognition to alert users to important sounds like alarms and sirens, and Live Rewind and Siri Recap, which help users review recent conversations and key moments. The Series 12 starts at $399, and the Ultra 4 at $499, both available for pre-order immediately and shipping September 18.
Apple also introduced the AirPods 5, which improve audio quality and active noise cancellation by 50% compared to the previous generation. They add volume controls on the stem and enhanced Transparency mode for more natural ambient sound. Battery life offers up to five hours of listening with noise cancellation, extending to 22 hours with the charging case. Pricing starts at $129, with a wireless charging case option at $149. Pre-orders are open now, with delivery beginning September 18.
