The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has shared an update regarding its investigation into the runway excursion incident involving 21 Air Flight 7598, a Boeing 767-33A cargo aircraft, which occurred on September 6 at Miami International Airport. Investigators successfully recovered and analyzed the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) from the accident site. The CVR, an Acron Aviation FA2100 model, provided over two hours of clear audio across four channels, while the Ontic SSFDR flight data recorder captured approximately 54 hours of flight data, including more than 400 parameters. The NTSB plans to convene a dedicated group at its Washington, DC headquarters to review the recordings in detail and produce a transcript. Preliminary summaries of key events from the final minutes of both recorders have been released, though exact timing between the CVR and FDR data has yet to be synchronized.
